So... this is what we do.

Computers… love em or hate em. As time rattles on, we continue to entrust our businesses to them, while in secret we wonder if and when they’ll turn against us.

It doesn’t have to be this way!

GRK Microsystems has been taming the beast of information technology in Southern Ontario for over 5 years now. We’ve gone up against insidious viruses, corrupted operating systems, smoldering hardware and beyond.

Sure, we sell our fair share of new and used equipment (workstations, servers, laptops, printers and networking), but our main focus has always been in providing kick-ass service, both on-site and over the phone.

Our technical gurus are certified Microsoft System Engineers as well as CompTIA technicians & network specialists, bringing over 20 years of combined experience into your business. We also have a cabling expert on-call with decades of experience in networking, phone systems and security (alarms & surveillance), as well as a HP-certified printer specialist dealing with laser and dot-matrix printers alike.

Our past work has run the whole range of operating systems, from DOS, Windows 3.1 to Vista (ugh), NT4 to Server 2008, MacOS (Classic and OSX), and of course Linux & Unix. We’ve maintained systems and servers large and small, and we’re no strangers to the increasingly-popular world of Virtualization. We’ve even done some work in industrial computing (networking & communications).

GRK used to cover web design, development & hosting as well, but we’ve so much demand for those services, we branched them off into it’s own company — z80 Media Ltd.

At any rate, if you’re looking for a shop to whip your infrastructure into shape, give us a call. We’re not your average stuffy IT outfit.

Thanks for your time!

What to look for in an on-site computer service company

  • Fast Response: Why bother with on-site service if your computers are down for a week waiting for someone to show up?
  • Service Guarantee: Any type of service work should be backed up with a guarantee. You shouldn’t have to pay to have the exact same problem fixed twice.
  • Hours & Availability: While most offices run standard business hours, other sectors don’t. A support company that’s willing to come out during off hours and weekends (at the very least for emergencies) is a valuable resource.
  • Qualifications & Experience: Nowadays, it’s not enough to have staff that knows just the latest and greatest. There are plenty of old solutions running out there on even older hardware (remember the 286?) that still need upkeep. A professional support company has a duty not to just cover the equipment you’ve bought in the last few years, but anything else you still rely on.
